Job Title: Assembler/Field Service Technician

Reports to: Assembly Supervisor
Position Summary: Performs assembly of all mechanical and selected electrical components in building new and standard machinery. Provides field service to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembly and/or repair of mechanical components.
- Assembly of selected electrical components.
- Troubleshoots PLC, motor and operator interface programs.
- Follow up service along with phone, email support and service of machinery at customer locations. (requires domestic and international travel).Travel may be from 25 – 50 % at times.
- Print reading skills.
- Electrical schematic reading skills.
- Parts list reading skills.
- Debugs machinery in assembly department.
- May prepare technical information on machinery.
- Basic machine shop skills (drill press, grinder, etc.)
- Keeps the shop clean and organized.
- Performs testing of new products and applications.
- **Other duties may be assigned as required by management.**
- Tools are required.

Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five (5) related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competency in mechanical assembly, electronics, and machine controls. Experienced in field service and repair. Solidworks understanding is a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, etc.).Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems on assemblies.
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: Valid US Passport, Drivers License.
