The SD-629 Tape Applicator is designed to apply pressure-sensitive tape in an L-clip or continuous C-clip configuration to the leading and/or trailing edges of boxes as they move through production.
Using 2-inch (50.8mm) wide pressure-sensitive tape with 1” (25mm) X 1” (25mm) minimum legs up to 3” (76mm) × up to 3” (76mm)(44mmm) legs, the system reinforces box corners at speeds of up to 45 feet per minute (14mpm) for L-clips and up to 60 feet per minute (18mpm) for continuous C-clip applications. Tape can be applied to the top or bottom corners of the product, depending on process requirements.

The SD-629 system is engineered to provide consistent corner reinforcement for cartons and boxes in continuous production environments. As products advance through the machine, the applicator applies tape precisely to the designated edges—improving package integrity and durability.
Machine controls signal whether tape should be applied to the leading edge, trailing edge, or continuously in a C-clip configuration, allowing integration into automated conveying systems and coordinated line operation.
