Continuous Heat-Activated Tape Lamination for Extruded Profiles
The WL-30 Heat Bond Tape Laminator is designed to apply 3M™ brand heat-activated tapes to continuous profile extrusions for industrial, consumer, and automotive OEM applications.
Tape is unwound and guided over a cooled lamination wheel and bonded to the profile using thermostatically controlled hot air immediately prior to lamination. An air-cylinder-loaded lamination wheel compensates for variations in extrusion thickness, ensuring consistent bonding across the profile.
The WL-30 is engineered for continuous operation and adaptable configuration, supporting reliable lamination across a wide range of extrusion geometries.

The WL-30 combines controlled heat activation, precise tape guidance, and consistent pressure application into a single, integrated lamination platform.
Hot air is directed onto the adhesive and product immediately before the tape is pressed into place, while the product conveyor pulls the extrusion through the laminating wheel. This coordinated process supports consistent bond quality while maintaining production efficiency.
