TS-510-C Heat Bond Taping System

The TS-510-C applies heat-activated tape using a controlled, automated process that ensures the adhesive is properly activated just before it’s bonded to the part.

The machine is designed to apply 3M™ brand heat-activated acrylic foam tape in lengths from 6″ to 120″ (152 mm to 3,048 mm) to profile extrusions or molded parts for industrial, consumer, and automotive OEM applications.

During operation, the operator clamps the product in a stationary fixture and initiates the cycle. The TS-510-C applicator automatically starts the tape, applies it across the full programmed length of the part, and then returns to its home position once the cycle is complete. Heat is applied by an electric hot-air torch mounted on the applicator, activating the adhesive immediately prior to lamination.

Overview

Long-Length Heat Bonding Made Precise

The TS-510-C is engineered for applications requiring precise placement of heat-activated tape across extended part lengths. Its controlled motion and repeatable heating process help ensure consistent bond quality across the entire profile.

The machine can be adapted to run a wide variety of extrusion profiles and molded geometries, making it suitable for both standardized products and custom OEM components.

Consistency Across Long Parts

By automating tape start, lamination, and return motions, the TS-510-C reduces operator variability and ensures uniform tape placement from end to end.

Manufacturing teams benefit from predictable output and repeatable quality, while engineers gain a stable platform capable of handling long parts without compromising bond integrity.

One Machine — Multiple Profile Applications

The TS-510-C is designed to integrate into a range of production environments and supports:

  • Heat-activated tape application to long extrusions and molded parts
  • Stationary part clamping with automated tape application
  • Adaptation to multiple profile geometries
  • Integration into dedicated work cells or larger manufacturing lines
