Controlled Tear-Strip Tape Delivery for High-Speed Applications
The LWPU Tear Tape Unwind & Applicator system is designed to unwind pressure–sensitive tear–strip tape for accurate application to overnight envelopes, cartons, and other corrugated products.
The Powered Level Unwind feeds tape smoothly and consistently when paired with Straub Design T–626 or T–627 Flat Surface Tape Applicators. The applicator can be mounted over a moving product or conveyor, or integrated into custom–designed taping equipment, supporting a wide range of production layouts.
The LWPU system is engineered to provide consistent tape delivery from level–wound tear–strip rolls, helping maintain uniform tension and stable feed even at higher line speeds.
By controlling both unwind behavior and tape presentation to the applicator, the LWPU helps reduce variability that can impact placement accuracy and downstream opening performance.
